Copy and paste the icon to a 300x100 canvas. :D Align right.
Fill the background with #F6EFEF. After make the bottom right corner #DCE9E9. Set the layer on Normal 66%. [make sure you have a white background layer under it].
Make a new layer and fill it with #CEDEE3. Set the layer to Normal 29%.
Another new layer. Using a circle blurred brush use #CEDEE3 to go around the edges.
Find some random scratches. I used this image. Duplicate the scratches and set them both on Color Dodge 100%
Notice all the grainy stuff? Let's add some 'noise' shall we? Make a new layer and fill it with black (#000000) then got to Filter>Noise>Add Noise [gaussian, monocromatic] ok. Now set the layer to Difference 40%. Duplicate the noise layer and set it to screen 40%.
See the left side of the icon? Crop, copy, and paste that portion to a new layer. Use a blurred circle eraser to erase the edges to see the layers underneath [dont erase the black!]. Duplicate and flip until it looks like the image to the left.
NEW LAYER! Now use #4A8D80 to mimic the greenish area on the bottom of the icon onto the banner. Set the new layer to multiply 100%. Duplicate the green layer.
Use a swirly brush.... doesnt matter which. Color: #05B39F
Now place a red circle area to mimic the icon's red area. Use #D8144D on Screen 100%.
Add or duplicate the border until it looks right. :D
^^ All you gotta do is add text and you're done.

THIS TYPE OF BANNER MAKING IS GOOD FOR: .... texture banners... for those of us who have time or dont feel like doing an image banner. XD
